I have been a supervisor since 2018 and work with both Counsellors and Support Workers. My background in the Voluntary sector In Survivor agencies, where support workers often worked with complex clients and where Counselling wasn’t the predominant service, means I have been able to support workers who may have minimal or no Counselling training.
Most of my clients are either Students or fully Qualified Counsellors. Having been a tutor on a Counselling diploma I believe I can support students to integrate the theory into their practice and work with them to manage the experiences they will face in the room that cannot be taught in a classroom.
Again, relationship is key. I aim to crate a safe and supportive space where its safe to share uncertainty, fears, mistakes, and conflicts, encourage self-awareness, insight and compassion.
I integrate the use of my CI (compassionate enquiry) training into sessions and encourage supervisees to pay attention to their own somatic responses, both in supervision and with their clients, Gabor Mate suggests ‘every tension needs attention’.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you, and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07949396451 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential.
Please note: If you decide to send an enquiry and have a Gmail account, please add a phone number if you can, often replies are sent to Junk and I try to send a text just to confirm I have replied, or please check your Junk.
